About Us
🌾 ICAR EFC - Enhancing climate resilience and ensuring food security with Genome Editing Tools
From drought‑tolerant rice to healthier oils, genome editing is revolutionizing farming. India now exempts non‑GM genome edited crops from strict regulations, paving the way for faster innovation and deployment. We are pioneering genome editing in crops to secure India’s agricultural future. Collaborating with 24 ICAR institutes across 16 states, our mission is to develop resilient, high‑yield varieties that address food security and climate challenges. With 178 targeted genes across 24 crops and 4 insect pests, we combine cutting‑edge science with nationwide collaboration to deliver impact from lab to field. 👉
